Our Approach — The Sterna Process

Our engineering process transforms ideas into certified, reliable and human-centered products.
A method built on scientific rigor, real-world validation and 12+ years of multidisciplinary experience.

Understanding the Challenge

We begin by understanding people, workflows and constraints. This ensures that every device we design solves real problems and integrates seamlessly into its environment.

Concept & Feasibility

We analyze technologies, sensor options, risks and value to define a concept that is both technically sound and meaningful to users from the first iteration.

Design & Development

We bring the product to life through advanced sensors, embedded electronics, wireless connectivity, software architecture and human-centered design.

Prototypes & Pilot Testing

Functional prototypes and field pilots validate performance, usability, durability and data value in real environments — reducing risk before industrialization.

Compliance, Safety & Certification

We ensure the product meets medical, industrial and regulatory requirements with full validation plans, electrical safety assessments and risk management.

Manufacturing & Ramp-Up

We prepare the device for production: tooling, process definition, supplier selection and continuous improvement until the product is stable and scalable.
